It all started with a dream

Our journey began in 2001 when the Van de Vijver family relocated to Namibia to realise their dream of building the very first 5-star lodge In Namibia. Epacha Game Lodge & Spa opened its doors in 2003 as a luxury lodge and was the first of its kind to offer a wellness spa in Namibia. Thereafter, Eagle Tented Lodge followed to cater for the more adventurous traveller and provided the absolute “Namib experience”. We further expanded our portfolio to invest in more lodges and hotels, which allowed us to assist in contributing to the tourism industry of Namibia and expanding interest in its majestic terrain.

One of our main missions is to continuously contribute to the economy and to further enhance the quality of life for Namibians in any way we can. We offer training initiatives in order to deliver the skilled workforce we can confidently help employ today. We also contribute to scholarship programs that help shape the minds of tomorrow, which allows us to achieve our beliefs of investing for the future.

Another main focus of what we do is property development. Our investment towards the fifth industrial zone in Windhoek created the opportunity for companies to further grow their own ventures. We provided the grounds to roll out road infrastructure, bulk electricity and water supply as well as sanitation infrastructure. Over and above industrial property development, we aspire to be involved in projects that include the successful provision of affordable housing. This will ensure the prosperous growth of the Namibian economy.
